Verizon FiOS is here and now is available in most homes across the country. What is FiOS you ask? Verizon FiOS (Fiber Optic Service) uses fiber-optic technology to deliver information to you in the same way as your phone and cable line does.

How does it work?

Fiber Optic technology uses laser-generated pulses of light that ride on hair-thin strands of glass fiber all the way to you. When you experience FiOS, it will be like no internet you have ever experienced, and I imagine will become the new internet connection of the future.

In fact FiOS is so fast you can buy and download full feature films and CD-quality audio in a few seconds. Also video chatting on FiOS is like instant messaging. There is a better internet out there and it is called FiOS.

Can I get Verizon FiOS?

FiOS from Verizon is now operational, but you need to check availability before you get too excited, as it might not be in your area just yet.

Verizon FiOS TV

Verizon FiOS TV uses the same fiber optic technology as its internet counterpart, and provides an amazing service. What is FiOS TV exactly? FiOS TV has all kinds of options just like satellite and digital cable, but much more! With FiOS TV you can have on demand TV, movies, premium channels, and PPV, but at much higher quality (HD) and more of a selection.

Satellite and cable can only provide a certain amount of movies at a time, but with the large data capacity of FiOS, you can watch just about every movie that your local video store has, old or new.
