The computer does not appear to be sending a signal out through the S-Video cable. How do I configure the software to get this working?

Answer

You need to enable S-Video output for your video card. To do this, you just need to access your video card configuration software that you installed for the video card, or was pre-installed. Usually ATI video cards use a program called "Catalyst Control", which lets you enable and disable all kinds of options related to your video card. Go through that program and look around for an option to enable S-video, and if you find it, enable it and restart your computer to test it and see if it works again.
